Aavegotchi lending

We mentioned two weeks ago that the lending feature was going live, and now it’s here! Already the player count is rising as a result:

The creation of a lending market gives people a simple way to enter the Gotchiverse, possibly even for free as upfront costs can be set to zero. The team kept the entire lending process 100% on-chain, to make things simple, scaleable and trustless for all parties. The smart contract is designed so that Aavegotchi NFTs are lent with limited rights, borrowers can use Aavegotchis to play-to-earn in The Gotchiverse but never actually take ownership of the NFT.

Origin launch week at Axie Infinity

Starting with the not-so-positive news, the Ronin sidechain suffered one of the largest hacks ever seen in crypto, well over $600m. Despite that, the Sky Mavis team have continued attending events and rolling out the Origin launch for Axie Infinity.

They’re in the midst of a packed schedule during the week-long launch event, culminating in the release of Origin on 7th April. Check out the first piece of gameplay footage below for the most recent teaser of what’s coming:

Decentral Games exploit and Updates

On the subject of hacks, DG identified an issue that resulted in an exploiter being able to add unverified addresses (without owning or receiving delegation to a wearable) to the daily ICE drop in the past week. The team have fortified database security to prevent this from happening again, and are continuing to investigate the root source of the problem.

In terms of the mobile rollout of ICE poker, the team are starting to onboard community volunteers to begin testing this week. When ICE Poker Mobile launches, they also plan to conduct the mints in ICE at a much lower price point than Metaverse wearables, to establish an accelerated path to player ownership.

Sorare x Major League Soccer (MLS)

The fantasy soccer game is one of the most prominent sports NFT projects on the market, with 1.5m registered managers and over 2m transactions to date. It has also racked up more than 230 real-world clubs as partners along the way, the latest of which is MLS, the premier football league in the United States. The partnership will open up NFTs of all MLS players for Sorare managers.

Sorare is apparently looking into other sports too, and have teased that other football league announcements are yet to come.

New look for VulcanVerse (VV)

There are a number of updates relating to the VV ecosystem, starting with a new rendering pipeline to improve graphics.

- All-time high in user count at 98,255 wallets.

P2E Analytics platform

P2E Analytics went live on 1st April, with the goal of making it effortless for the web3 gaming community to analyse and discover new games. Starting with Crabada, the dashboard shows marketplace sales, Treasure token info, and population trends. The team will be expanding to more games in the future.
